In the winter of 1776, Rhode Island and North America's 12 colonies had been at war with Britain for almost a year. Colonists would have gathered for drinks, news and trade at a local coffee house.

February 14 and March 14. MHA invites neighbors to stop in to ‘Squire Maxwell’s Coffee House’ for good company, warm beverages and talk of Liberty! (Colonial style, non-alcoholic drinks only)
Free, donations to Warren’s 250th committee are encouraged.
Games and news of the time, and hosts in costume are part of the experience.
Coffee, chocolate, cider and shrub drinks. We will not serve East India Company TEA!
